Those Amazing Spiced Nuts!

Honestly, these are hands down my favorite snack in the Fall…but, I have been known to make them at different points throughout the year! They taste just like a Chai…but as a crunchy snack! You can change around the nuts that you prefer, these are just my favorites!

Ingredients

1 Cup Prepared Cashews

1 Cup Prepared Almonds

1 Cup Prepared Walnuts

2 TBSP Agave (You can use Honey as well)

1 Tsp Vanilla

1 TBSP Cinnamon

1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger

1/4 Tsp Ground Nutmeg

1/4 Tsp Ground Cardamom

1/4 Tsp Ground Cloves

1/8 Tsp Salt (Optional)

How To

From RAW Unprepared Nuts:

  • Pour Nuts on sheet pan in one even layer

  • Roast for 5 minutes @ 200 Degrees

  • Mix spices together in a small bowl

  • Add all ingredients remaining and mix well until incorporated with all the nuts

  • Roast for 5 more minutes (or up to 10 depending on texture preferred.)

  • Allow to cool completely (between 1-2 hours)

  • Store in airtight container in fridge up to 3 months (if it lasts that long!)

From already Prepared Nuts (even frozen):

  • Pour nuts on sheet pan and allow to come to room temperature. This allows the spices and sweetener to stick better. (about 20-30 minutes)

  • Set oven to 200 Degrees while nuts come to room temperature

  • Mix spices together in a small bowl

  • Mix remaining ingredients until well incorporated.

  • Roast for 5-10 minutes (can go longer if you prefer extra crunchy)

  • Let cool completely (between 1-2 hours)

  • Store in airtight container in fridge up to 3 months

*I don’t recommend sautéing spiced nuts…it can be a bit messy, and you lose a lot of the spices and flavor while mixing in the pan. Plus, you will want a big batch!
