Easy Homemade Granola

Ya know those $6-$10 12 oz bags of granola at the store? Or if you’re like me trying to be gluten-free and additive-free, these small rinky dinky bags can cost almost $20!!! Well, I’m here to tell ya those granolas are so easy to make yourself…and you can make a ton more at home for way under what that 12 oz bag at the store costs! This granola is so versatile too! You can top yogurt, ice cream, desserts, oatmeal, and so much more with this delicious recipe!

Makes about 4 Cups

Ingredients

3 Cups GF Old Fashioned Oats

1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts (your favorite or a blend)

1/2 Cup Unsweetened Coconut Flakes

1 TSP Ground Cinnamon

1/2 TSP Ground Ginger or Cardamom (my fave is Cardamom…but you do you!)

1/2 TSP Salt

1/3 Cup Honey or Maple Syrup

1/3 Cup Melted Coconut Oil

1 TSP Vanilla

The How To

Preheat oven to 275 Degrees (F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Use a large mixing bowl to combine Oats, Nuts, Coconut Flakes, Cinnamon, Cardamom, and Salt.

Add in Honey, Oil, and Vanilla; stir until all ingredients are well coated.

Spread on parchment - line sheet in an even layer. (If using granola as a baked dessert topper, do not follow the remaining instructions. Top your dessert, and follow the dessert instructions.)

Bake for 40 minutes, stirring at the 20 minute mark, until golden brown.

Allow to cool completely before breaking the large clusters apart and storing.

**Store in a wide mouth glass container. Stays fresh for up to 6 weeks.
