Mental & Emotional Well-Being
Guides and information on managing stress, mindfulness, and mental health tips.
Where To Start
Daily Gratitude Practice: Write down 3 things you’re grateful for each morning to set a positive tone for your day.
Breathing Breaks: Practice deep belly breathing for 1-2 minutes when you’re feeling stressed to reset your nervous system.
Screen-Free Zones: Set aside specific times of day or areas in your home that are screen-free to reduce mental clutter and overstimulation.
Creative Outlet: Spend time each week on a hobby or creative activity (drawing, journaling, knitting) to calm the mind and express emotions.
Essential Oil Therapy: Use lavender or chamomile essential oil for calming aromatherapy when you feel overwhelmed.
The Reset
Invite in all that has happened in your life, let it stay for a cup of coffee. Release it when all the reflection is over. And get to work! Where we have been, and where we are, are not terrible. We are in fact alive, and able to move forward this year, regardless of where we were in the past.
Reigniting Wonder in Adulthood
There’s a certain type of magic that kids experience not just at Christmas time, but all year round. So many times the magic is lost, buried, under the business of life. It tends to raise the question: Are we depleting our kids “magic” by surrounding them with too many facts and not enough opportunities to believe in the wonder of something?
Do You See What I See?
What do you see when you look INTO your own reflection? Do you actually tell yourself the truth? Do you quickly glance, and shrug off a quick, “You’re good”? Do you pause for a while and quickly become your own worst critic?
OOOOOMMMMMM
Give yourself some quiet time. The benefits of taking just ten minutes a day will enhance your life in more ways than you can imagine.
Get It Out
Allowing loved ones to release what is bothering them, is such a huge step for some individuals. Being an engaged listener is sometimes all they need.
